For some it does, others; sadly no. Whether we cleave to God; separate and independent, or are absorbed; embraced and reunited, the journey of our consciousness is expressed only in the moment. Such sweet self awareness trickled out in minuet cadence surely makes one long for more, ever more a future with whatever it may bring.....yet it is only in each exquisite moment that we find ourselves ever stretching forward into the nothingness of what is yet to be, our hope. Our hope is the future, as intangible and ethereal as the songs of Angels, and like those Angels song it is only through that state of mind that holds hopes hand that we realize any chance of a future at all, and that is faith. The future does exist, in a way, in a matter of being, through a state of grace, only by hope and faith.

This very question is why I started my blog. Albert Einstein theorized that at the speed of light (which, of course, humans cannot achieve), "reality" then "becomes" the past, present and future all at once. How they interpret Einstein's explanation in public high schools, which is the only place I took science, is that, as you approach the speed of light, the past and future will "bend in" towards the present so that you will experience them all at once. As I say in my blog, it didn't occur to me until many years later that for something like that to happen, the future would have to already be there, even if, at normal speed you wouldn't experience it, and so would the past- it wouldn't vanish, we just wouldn't "see" it anymore as we "see" our specific and perpetually progressive moment in time. So to me this is more disturbing than discovering that there really is a God, or that there really is no God; because there already are people who devoutly believe in God as there are those who vehemently deny something that neither party can prove; but if Einstein's formulas say that the future is already there, then, by God (lol), I would have to believe that he is right, and anyone who denies it is wrong, as they were about light trajectory bending by mass. When this was proved (in 1919) Einstein became an overnight sensation, and one of histories few famous scientists. How many do you know? I'll have to ask that question if someone doesn't steal it first.

So, yes, the future does exist. That poses many other questions, don't it (lol)?

It will when you drag yourself out of bed next Tuesday and start applying your makeup. Or, will it? By next Tuesday it will be the present. And today, along with your question will be the past. Wait! If the past is gone, and the present is the future and the future becomes the present, then we only have the NOW. Sweet little lady,, live in the NOW. The past is gone and the future will take care of itself.

Of coarse it does. The future is anytime that is not the time behind you. So unless the entire idea of life is nonexistent and we are nothing at all (since we could not be imagined up by anyone, because that proves that there is a future and that as we keep going on and on in our so called life as we know it that the future is true) then there is a such thing as a future.

Consider this, every day when you wake up it's the future! yesterday was the past, therefore this moment is the future.
You can't lay there thinking abou how the future will be, you're living it day by day. Obviously what we consider to be the future exist.

Future DOES EXIST.. It denotes TIME yet to come. But in the next moment (future) we do not know what is going to happen. some planning & assumtions can be made.We are not aware of future.
Past is past. It is an experience.
we are in the Present. & what we do in present is FUTURE.

Actually people travel into the future and come back all the time even minutely when they ride in a plane. That is the theory of relativity.
