I am a Giants fan first, Barry defender second.
Don't blame Bonds for lack of leadership by Brian Sabean and Peter Magowan for surrounding him players who can't perform. That is not his problem but the problem of management. Barry has said time and again that he would rather have a ring than a record. Who wouldn't? They had a chance against the Angels in 2003 and didn't make it happen.
Question: When Aaron broke the record in '73, how did the Braves do that season?

Well, you can say this about any athlete, but the best way for you to help your team field something competitive is to take the least amount of salary that you can live with. (given that he has already earned over 100 million)
You can't blame any one person (except possibly a pitcher) for a team loss, but I think you are trying to draw a parallel to Bonds never winning the big one.
It's only one game and they won't make the playoffs.
If Bonds really wants a ring, he should sign for league minimum with a team like Oakland or Minnesota.

You are right. He goes 3 for 3, hits a home,r a double, scores 3 runs, gets a walk and the reason the team lost was because of him.
He should have struck out 4 times and the team would have had a better chance of winning. Right?
Idiot.

i think of the respond is already obtrusive. Hank Aaron will talk over with the media. Hank Aaron will sign autographs. Hank Aaron is conscious that baseball followers made him a baseball celeb. Barry Bonds acts like he's doing the media a desire while he comes to a decision to speak with them. Barry not often indicators autographs. Barry Bonds expects you to understand him using fact he's a baseball celeb, and that's the place he extremely exhibits his loss of sophistication.

Barry Bonds will never beat the record. Hank Aaron's did it on pure talent. Barry needed steroids.
In my very humble opinion, Hank Aaron's still holds the record!
Barry Bonds is a loser and that's probably why his team can't win.

There was fairly good chance that he would break the record in a losing effort since he's playing on a team with a losing record and very little chance of making the playoffs.

Barry did everything he could to help his team win. I'd hardly point the finger at him for last night's loss.

Yeah, it's fitting. Bonds has put himself ahead of his teams so many times it's laughable. Besides, even if the Giants had won, the 756th home run would've been the bigger story anyway. That's all anybody would've cared about.

No matter what, when he gets into Cooperstown, his plaque will have some very impressive numbers:
Single season home run champion
Career home run champion
No World Series Championships
