HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE A CHECK TO CLEAR AND BE IN MY ACCT IF THE PERSON WHO WROTE IT BANKS AT THE SAME BANK THAT I DO.

That would probably depend on your banks rules. At the bank I work for if you present us with a check that is drawn off of one of our accounts we deposit it like cash which is instant.

If the money is in the account that the check was written on, the check will clear on the next business day. For example, Monday to Tuesday, Friday to Monday.

When I used to be a teller...it was instant. Times may have changed...call your bank.
