your muscles have been weakened from your previous sprains. It's possible that you overdid the exercises in the pool this morning and it made those muscles feel overused -thus weakened. To try not to walk to walk too much today . Keep your leg elevated and place an ice pack around the ankle for ten minutes several times today. If it doesn't feel better by tomorrow see your medical doctor.

When you are in the pool, try a very simple excercise that will not put any stress on the joint. I had weak ankles also and found this exercise will alleviate problems, extend your left leg and slowly rotate your left foot to clockwise and then slowly rotate the same foot counter clockwise. Repeat this movement with your right foot and this exercise will strenghten the muscles, tendons and ligaments and in your ankles. It can be done when your out of the water, such as sitting at your desk in school. Since you have had previous injuries to your ankles, pay attention to any amount of pain great or small. If pain continues during this exercise or after ,stop immediately and seek medical help because there might be a new injury. Good luck!
