Thanks so much for your help. Hannah is due Jan 08. She will have two half sisters, Chloe and Emma. Her last name will start with a T. And yet her father and I are not married. My last name is my ex-married name. My maiden name is very german and starts with a S. I am not sure I want to use either. Should I even give Hannah her father's last name is we aren't married.

That's so weird that you naming her Hannah. When I first read your post topic I thought you were going to ask what to name a sister to an Emma and a Chloe and I was going to suggest Hannah, LOL! Weird! I would give her, her father's last name if you are in a stable relationship and plan to marry one day. If not, I would give her you maiden name as a last name and if you do end up getting married you could always switch it or use it as a her mn.I have my mom's maiden name as a my second mn. I wouldn't give her the last name of your ex under any circumstances even if it is your last name right now. Hope that helps! Good Luck!

Congrats! I am sure Hannah has a very loving mother. I think you should give Hannah her father's last name. If you don't list him on the birth certificate, then she will get your ex's name and he won't be happy! If you aren't going to list her father on the birth certificate then you need to officially revert to your maiden name and allow that to be her's too. I am sure her father has some say in the matter! Ask him.

Are you and the father still together? You can give your baby his last name or you can use a hypenated name (father's name-your maiden name). That is what my sister did after she and her husband divorced before the baby was born.

Me and my baby's father arent married and it will have his name.. it's all up to u and how ur relationship is... we've been together for a long time and just choose not to be married right now.. remmeber marriage is a piece of paper (you can still be commited) it doesn't make a family any different then long term relationships.. u know?

you can hyphenate and use both names T-S or do something like Hanna middle name S Twhatever her fathers name is. Now you can give them whichever name you wish.
