I BOUGHT A HOME 6 MONTHS AGO AND I WANT TO KNOW IF I HAVE TO PAY HOA FEES.

It depends on the neighborhood you live in, it's different for each one. Look up the phone # for your particular home owners assoc. and ask them or try calling the realtor that sold you the home and they should be able to tell you.

Trust me!!! You don't owe any fees. the HOA associations are some of the most agressive fee collection groups in the nation. If you don't have 50 letters saying," pay or we will take your home from you" then you aren't part of an association. They will literally bug you to the point of tears if you owe them money and they know who you are and where you live. No worries mate. If you haven't heard from them you don't owe them!!!

If you purchased your property at any time they are required to present all Association information including a HUGE stack of HOA information. If you did not get this at your closing you are not in an association.
