i talk very slow and occasionally stutter and have a drawl
even though im not from the deep south (of america)
i sometimes make it more pronounced just to get a laught or a reaction from people i think their responses to my way of talking is amuseing. i dont care what people think

but no way would i make fun of someone else who has that problem
i remember my childhood when people teased me and it hurt

No way would I do that, Mel Tillis actually stutters, but his singing comes out perfect. I've seen that in a local person too. In some classes for people that stutter, they are instructed to speak with a rhythm, and it helps them to speak with out the stutter.

No I don't because besides been cruel , I know how it feels .
I used to stutter when I was a little girl and I suffered very
much because other children used to make fun about me.

I have a friend that is an extremely bad stutterer and have never made fun of him or anyone else that stutters, It would be cruel and heartless

I just wrote a story about a kid who gets help for his stuttering. So I probably won't. You should read the story. It's great.

No, I was taught to help them by speaking to them in a relaxed manner so it might help them relax and stutter less. I was also taught to not hang up on anyone on the phone who was stuttering.

No, my cousin used to do that and suddenly she started stuttering and couldn't stop-NO JOKE!!

Of course. It's human nature. Like most afflictions, until your family member, your son/daughter has it, you will not stop making fun of it. It has to hit home. If my daughter started stuttering badly, that would be the last time I would ever find it funny.
