My boyfriend arrived in ibiza on early tues morning. Hes meant to be there for 2 weeks with his mates. Last night he was alone in his room, sleeping, and woke up to the light on and a man behind the door trying to rob him! The man got really aggressive shouting and coming towards him, and now he says hes got this fear of being in the room, and gets very panicky. The hotel staff didn't do anything as usual. He wants to come home, would he get a refund if only partially because he came home early? How does it work?He says he doesn't care about the money he just wants to come home but I'm just wondering if he would do. thanks

i doubt very much that they would refund him as it isnt the travel agents fault, this happens quite regulary in places like ibiza, magaluf etc, if he feels that worried then he should come home but dont expect to get anything back and you will have to pay for another flight back i should think

The Travel Agent won't give a refund. The TA was not at fault. Tell your friend to get himself some security such as an internal lock for the door, a bar which would secure the door from intruders or loud alarms. These are things which would scare away potential thieves. They can be found at many luggage stores and the like.

Though I would shy away from getting a gun (especially in a foreign country), he needs to get himself protected and he will feel better about being in the room alone.

This has scam written all over it. Western Union tries to ask if you know who you are sending money to so they can warn you. That is why they want to you claim you are sending it to a friend. The fee is the same no matter what. Do not send any money
