DDR2 and SDRAM are different right? Maybe Compaq made a mistake or it is saying my motherboard can take both types.
What do you guys think.

Plain SDRAM, DDR SDRAM, and DDR2 SDRAM are all different types of SDRAM, but they are all different from each other and are incompatible with each other.

think of it as a scientific name...

SDRAM is the species, and DDR2 is the family...no they aren't totally different
