No matter what we do, it will be bad for us. It will be worse for us, however, if we stay and keep pouring lives and money into this mess. The harm has already been done by invading and there is no good solution.

The Iraqis will probably go through a period of disorder, similar to what they are going through now but without us to police it, and then hopefully will resolve their differences and try to rebuild their country.

It will be good for the soldiers, they will no longer risk their lives. In the long term, Iraq could become a threat again, and if that happens withdrawing now would be postponing the inevitable. It would also boost Al Qaeda's morale, they would have proof that we have no backbone and that their tactics can prevail against us.

There is no good answer to this problem any more. There are just some scenarios that are less awful than others.

Contrary to neocon belief, the terrorists are not any more likely to follow the U.S. home should it withdraw than they are now, nor will a bunch of Iraqis make the long swim to the U.S. to invade.

It would be the worst thing that could happen to us.
We need to surge in troops to win the entire war in Iraq. The Democrats want to pull out now and cost America thousands of deaths here on the home front. Osama will have another 9-11 but this time much worse.

The country will be thrown into full civil war, millions will die and a new Dictator just like Saddam will end up in power.

It is to late for us, we will be policing that country for at least the next decade. Political suicide to stay OR withdraw.

There would probably be wide spread civil war. Iran could take over Iraq and control their oil, too.

If we withdraw now the terrorist win and will be given the green light to attack any one at any time. I don't know what we did to these people, if anything, but it seems as though they are just crazy and nothing can turn off the fight at this point. take it to them I say.

It would be a disaster, which is why every plan that is being put forward is for a phased withdrawal over the next year to 18 months.

No, it will completely destroy all we have done. Thats what the libs like Obama dont understand and what Hilary is being critisized for... she doenst want an immediate witdrawl. She wants a gradual one. And Obama and the other libs are having a field day over it.

Obama is an idiot with no experience in politics and hasnt got a clue how to run the country. I would rather have hilary over him if the pres. was to be a democrat.
