Anything can happen.
I am a Conservative (definately not a Republican, but even less of a Democrat), but if I had to bet money right now, it would be on a Democratic candidate taking the reigns.
However, Democrats thought they had a shoe-in in 2004 as well.

It's possible, I'm a registered Non Party voter. I'll look at both candidates and see which is best or as the common phrase lately the lesser of two evils. If the Dems finally wake up and put up a candidate that I could vote for I would, heck when Bush is considered better than the last two doesn't that say something? Put up a candidate that is acceptable to not only the Democratic base but the rest of the voters as well and the Dems might stand a chance, don't and a Republican will be in again.

I really feel that the Republicans have a great chance of winning the White House because, look at how many democrats are running and how many Republicans are running. All the Democrats will spend all their money trying to get the nomination and they won't have the money needed to get elected.

Heck yeah Buddy. The Dem leader is Mrs. B. J. Clinton and over half of the US citizens do not like her. She is leading because she is the least of the 3 evils (Obama and Edwards included). The Republicans have a couple of outstanding candidates (Rudy and hopefully Fred T.) who will likely win in any match up. And, that is the shape of things today. As we continue to win the war the tide will turn even more in favor of Republicans.

They very well can. Many of the votes that determine who will win comes from the Evangelicals down South, who are predominantly Republican.
I would say that the Democrats will nominante Hillary Clinton for President and John Edwards as Vice-President and the Republicans might nominate either Giuliani or Romney fr President.

Yes, they do because they have done it before and they'll do it again because let's face it, the Democrats have lost control...While they might see this as their chance to re-gain it the Republicans have already brought in amazing reinforcements like RON PAUL and will not let them take the reigns again..

I saw their ship sink last night...US History was changed forever as the Democratic Party rose to the call and cry of America. That was one of the strongest and best debates I've ever had the opportunity to experience. I'm not a Democrat although I'm a Liberal but I was still very impressed by what occurred and will offer that unless there is some very major blunder on their part, the Republicans will see a new administration and several new seats in Congress elevated toward progressive values.
The Republican ship sank beneath the waves with hardly a ripple.

There is a fair shot. GWB certainly does not represent all Republicans. I'd like to know how you think a win is more likely for a Dem.
