My Beloved and I just graduated, both landed jobs in Makati, and nearly everyday I would fetch her from her office nearby and take her home. "We grew up in love and age together."
It was a beastly day with beastly weather. We had to take a caritella, would you believe it? a caretella, a horse driven honest to God carriage that you would usually find in Intramuros. But it was going to Punta, Santa Ana. We took it because of the flood, and alighted by the bridge.

We walked across the bridge, and she pointed at the swirling waters of the river. And she said the man she would marry would have to prove to her his courage and jump into the water.

Now, she's living in the United States, with kids of her own and happily, too, I suppose.

I should have jumped!!!!

The year of 1994.... i was 4 years old and things were simple and i was happy everyday. It was the year before I was forced to live in the U.S and say goodbye to all my family and love ones. Although it was for the best.... I always wondered if I'd be happier if I just grew up in philippines.

Right after I graduated from college. I wish I had stayed at UP for my master's...or, even if I had taken my master's here in the States, I wish this job offer in Houston didn't come my way --- then maybe, I'd be back home with my parents and I'd be working in the Philippines.

no matter what point in time you go back to, the results will be the same, cuzz you would be the same person, making the same choices as was made in the original scenario. unless of course, you had all the knowedge that was accumulated....in which case i would return to just before high school, where i made stupid decisions , which led me to the dumb A$$. place i am now.

:)

Where is the guarantee that I will have a better time, just by going back. Now let me not look back, just try to complete my term and escape, taking for granted, that there is no rebirth. Enough is enough.

I would definitely go back to that one day before my History 2 finalsback in college! That exam scarred me for life, I swear. I would have actually studied if I had known it was that difficult! :D
