I'm tempted to say Jenson Button as he is very average, but to give him his dues, he's incredibly smooth and at least he is consistent. Perhaps it's just that I don't agree with the massive UK media interest in him (up until Hamilton arrived that is). I agree that Ralf is nothing special and I can't help wondering if Massa is any better than Barrichello?
I was very happy to see Albers sacked he had a egotistical, grandiose attitude and nothing to back it up. But ultimately, for me at least, the most overrated driver on the grid is Giancarlo Fisichella. Flavio Briatore and Peter Sauber have both described him as a future world champion, yet he is woefully inconsistent. His out laps on fresh tyres after pit stops are shambolic, so far removed from his race pace (whatever that may be at any given moment.) The time difference between his fastest and slowest laps over a whole race are of monumental proportions and his overtaking is almost no existant. It's not like he has been driving bad cars over the last few years. The thing is he can be fast. Very fast. But most of the time he chooses not to be.

I'm not sure why people are saying Jenson Button is over rated.
Especially to look at his past form.
When former world champion Jaques Villeneuve was his team mate he consistently out qualified him and scored better race positions.
Other factors include during 2004 in a car you could claim to have equal status compared to the top teams as this years BMW he scored 10 podiums and finished 3rd in the championship.
In 2005, while not scoring as many podiums, was still incredibly consistent as he was during 2006.
I think his problem is that Honda haven't so much taken a step backwards recently but taken a huge run up and long jumped backwards in the style of Bob Beamon.
My most over rated driver would be Alonso. This is due to the fact that as much as he can be quick when he's in front, his overtaking is pretty awful, he seems apathetic if he's anywhere but 1st, too willing to settle for second place if it's good enough and he has a terribly unprofessional attitude.
He didn't exactly set the world alight at Minardi, but you know, good old Flav has a way of doing things. Must be nice having him as a manager.

Why you picked poor old Ralf?
The commentators dont get excited when his car is on screen and the press doesnt care much about him. The only thing worth attention is his paycheck, but then that is Toyota's assessment blunder, not overrating. I've never seen Ralf being projected this year even for a podium.

I'd too go for Button, the one race wonder, and the countless pundits describing the miracles that would occur if he gets a slightly better car. Thats overrating!

Overrated. Well, I don't think Ralf is overrated—I think everyone who follows F1 from Ralf, to the team, to everyone in the paddock, to the newest fan, knows Ralf isn't a future champion or even race winner again—he certainly is overpaid though. $20-million!

Most overrated... gotta be Jenson Button. Folks (in particular Matt Bishop of Autosport/F1 Racing) still seem to think he's some ace driver who just needs to be in the right car to be champ. I don't see it, I never saw it, and I agree completely with Nigel Mansell's recent comments about Button (link in sources).

i think of on his stable days, Kimi is the wonderful. he's extremely rapid and drives properly under tension. despite the fact that, a large area of F1 is working with the motor vehicle, continually attempting to make it greater appropriate. i do no longer think of Kimi does that as much as Alonso. Alonso is making extensive strides at Renault and that i think of next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days (if he would not circulate to Ferrari!) he would be a very good greater desirable contender. I additionally extremely like Massa, yet i'm uncertain he has what it takes to proceed to exist appropriate. He might properly be inconsistent. Kubica is extremely coming alongside, he works along with his motor vehicle and his group and actually deserved to win Canada. i watch for staring at him conflict to stay in first interior the championship.

most over rated has to be Mark Webber, since his first year at minardi i hear people praising him to the point where im sure he caught all the f1 comentators and jurnalists with 12 yo tialand hookers or something, ive never heard of a guy so hyped and achieve so little,

number 2 right now is ralph, but in truth i dont think anyone is expecting much from ralph aside from maybe toyota

hamilton definitely I mean he has been in f1 for 11 races and already people are calling him the best the sport has ever seen.He may be a good driver but his attitude absolutely stinks!!Alonso is much better after all that is why he is the two time formula 1 world champion!!

mehran_kimi I totally agree with you!

I would definitely also say Ralf but I also think Jenson Button is overrated. Even when the Honda was halfway good he didn't do much with it. But it's hard to judge him this year because the car is total crap. Heck they even finished behind the Spyker last week.

Lewis, fast yes , in the best car yes ,would he win in a lesser car like shumacer did in his day ,i doubt it .
So i would say Lewis is over hyped by the British media, and Ralf is there because of his last name, although when he drove for Williams he did win some races.
