The ICC Twenty20 World Championship is the international championship of Twenty20 cricket. The event is organised by the sport's governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and is contested by all Test-playing nations , plus qualifiers.
The inaugural championship will be held in South Africa in September 2007. The tournament will consist of 12 teams. The championship will be held around every two years.
The World Cricket League is a series of international one-day cricket tournaments for national teams without Test status, administered by the International Cricket Council. Any Associate or Affiliate member of the ICC may compete in the league system, which has promotion and relegation between each division. The series will complete its first cycle in 2007, with teams allotted into divisions based on their performance in the qualification tournaments for the 2007 World Cup. The finalists of the World Cricket League Division One final will qualify for 2007 Twenty20 World Championship.
The upcoming tournament in September 2007 will feature 12 teams, including all 10 Test-playing countries, in a nine-day event. The ten Test-playing teams automatically qualified for the tournament, while the other two teams qualified from the World Cricket League event in January and February. 3 ICC match referees and 9 umpires will officiate the matches.

First off cricket start with Test match only after that they form ODI match and newly introduce 20 20 match ,,,, this year onwards three type of tournament we play one is test match,ODI match and Twenty 20 match ....
ODI is not stop ,,,,
Twenty 20 match means instead of 50 over we play only 20 over ,,Like local match we play in our school and college match in our area ...
In this 20 full of 6 and 4 only.. more enjoyment for the fans ....
