It is not clear whether you want 5/6 divided by 5/12 or 5/12 divided by 5/6. The former is (5/6)/(5/12) = (5/6) X (12/5) = 2. The other one is (5/12)/(5/6) = (5/12) X (6/5) = 1/2.

an easy way would be to find a common denominator:
(5/6) becomes (10/12), giving:
(10/12)/(5/12) --- since both have a denominator of 12, you can rewrite the fraction as (10/5) = 2.
To show you:
Whenever you have a fraction divided by a fraction, you need to take the reciprocal of the denominator times the denominator and numerator (NOTE: multiplying the denominator by the reciprocal causes the denom. to become 1, which can be neglected). Here is how:
Denominator: (5/12)*(12/5) = (1/1) = 1 (neglected)
Numerator: (5/6)*(12/5) = (60/30) = 2.
(Notice that you dont have to find a common denominator when doing it this way --- I simply showed you that to make you aware of the rule).

when dividing fractions, you can swap the denominator and numerator around and multiply instead of divide. its pretty much the same.
so say, a/b divide c/d is the same as a/b x d/c or b/a x c/d
either way will give you the same answer
in your case the answer is 12/6 = 2

FORGET DIVISION BY FRACTIONS!!!!
Never divide fractions. What "division" means is multiplying by a number's reciprocal.... its what? Reciprocal.
If you give me almost any number, I can give you another number that when you multiply your number by my number you get 1. If, for example, you give me 3, I'll give you 1/3. If you give me 7/5, I'll give you 5/7. If you give me -x.y, I'll give you -y/x. See how it works?
People who don't know any better, call multiplying by a number's reciprocal, "division."
So if somebody gives you 3/5 divided by 7/5 you simply multiply 3/5 by 5/7.
Multiplication of fractions is easy. Multiply the top numbers (numerators) to get the new numerator, and multiply the two denominators (bottom numbers) to get the new denominator). thus
3/5 x 5/7 = (3 x 5)/(5 x 7) = 15/35 = 3/7... see how it works?
Warning. I said for ALMOST any number you give me I can give a reciprocal. There is one exception. 0 has the property that whatever you multiply by it, you get 0. There is no number you can multiply 0 by to get 1. Zero does not have a reciprocal. Since people who don't know any better call multiplying by a reciprocal, "division," they also say, "You can't divide by 0." And how you know why.
