properly, in case you have been paying funds for 2 years, I heavily doubt that he suggested it on his earnings tax returns. So, you need to reason him only as plenty problems by potential of reporting him to the IRS. regrettably, in case you do not have a receipt of a few style, he Can take you to court. you have have been given some protection in case you need to teach a trend existed between the dates on which you withdrew money and the dates the hire replaced into due, yet it extremely is approximately it. additionally in case you have any style of written observe from him for every time he raised the hire, by potential of regulation he can only develop it as quickly as according to 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in maximum states so as that should teach you a thank you to out some. At maximum, you need to open a can of worms for him in case you need to declare you have been being charged for utilities that are actually not linked such as your unit - if the unit is separately metered. base line, despite the fact that, is you're easily screwed. continually GET RECEIPTS FOR ANY funds money. existence instructions a hundred and one. In my state, the state earnings tax gives you a credit for a million/2 of what you pay in hire, as much as $4000 hire according to 3 hundred and sixty 5 days (a $2,000 deduction). My son-in-regulation replaced into paying plenty greater desirable than that according to month, each each now and then in funds, and generously instructed his landlord he could only report $4000 on his earnings tax so the owner does no longer might desire to report the extra money as earnings. Then while he moved, the owner took him to court and pronounced he owed money he'd paid in funds and have been given the $$ using fact the son-in-regulation did no longer pay attention once I instructed him to get receipts for funds money. only understand greater appropriate next time and write it off as a existence lesson found out the problematic way. Sorry on your loss - the two in funds and friendship.
