The lib responses on here are both hilarious and very predictable. They have been trained so well by the liberal media that they are in a classic state of denial.

The media is very good at packaging, marketing, and interpreting facts and events to put the maximum liberal spin they can on it while appearing to be calm, cool, objective, and the only credible source.

Therefore, when libs hear the liberal news, its just as it should be and normal. When they hear things like foxnews, it seems weird, prejudice, biased, aukward, or slanted because they are not used to alternative viewpoints. To them, they are right and thats that. But I also know many people form their opinion about foxnews without actually viewing it. My very own ultra-lib family member who has never seen it and doesnt have cable, told me one time quite seriously that foxnews needs to be shutdown by the govt. Now where did he get that communist-style idea from???

The fact is there is a huge market out there for conservative news and commentary because we are SICK of getting the viewpoint of a NY or SF liberal who loves things like abortion and gay marriage and enjoy reporting against my religion whenever they can. For the longest time I listened to them and listened to lib NPR and I always wondered what seemed so WRONG about them. They would always portray Christianity as a bunch of anti-science nutjobs. If they did have any religious figures on their shows, they were VERY liberal to the point they rejected flat out what the Bible says. They just hated Bush and Cheney with a seething passion. I would always hear a number of "experts" telling me how evil Bush is and I could tell many of their facts just didnt add up. I cant believe I almost sent money to help support NPR. So exactly what is objective about any of that? The fact is libs tune in because it tells them what they want to hear.

But in the last couple years, I witnessed the media of conservative talk radio and was just blown away. Here are a group of successful people like Sean Hannity, Rush, and Glenn Beck repeating things that I have always felt and are so experienced, they can cut right through the headlines and all the BS and interpret the left's reaction to things as well as give me a historical context of how libs functioned back in the 20th century. Thank GOD there is an alternative media out there and Im very happy the libs hate it. If the same people that hate my religion suddenly hate a media source out there, you just know it has to be good!

Actually, MSNBC is growing faster than Fox "News" and I noticed that it was Keith Olbermann, from MSNBC, not Bill O'Reilly, from Fox "News" who moderated last night's debate.

That being said, viewership levels are only an indication of popularity, not quality and nobody in the mainstream media considers Fox "News" a serious journalism outfit at all, and for good reason. Most of Fox's viewership consists of people like you, who need to have their existing prejudices reinforced.

Most of America wants to know the truth, no matter what it is or whose policies are skewered by it. That's why Fox "News" will never be more than a pathetic sideshow and will never be regarded seriously by most people.

The mainstream media doesn't "portray" our military as anything, it simply tells the truth, sometimes showing the military positively, sometimes not, as the story warrants.

Fox "News" doesn't tell the truth, or at least not the whole truth. It tells stories slanted to make conservatives, Republicans and the Bush administration look good.

The growth of Fox "News" is little more than an indicator of the sad state of American education. A truly educated citizenry would seek information, not to have it's own views confirmed.

Lastly, I'm not angry at Fox "News" at all. I think O'Reilly's hilarious, albeit unintentionally. Other than that, Fox "News" is undeserving of my notice, let alone my anger.

Response to asker- I get my news from as many credible sources as possible; the major networks, cable news, the BBC and other foreign news outlets, the internet, etc. If I thought a particular outlet had a "liberal bias", or a conservative one, I wouldn't trust it. I'm interested in news and fact, not opinion.

Therefore I only watch Fox "News" for laughs.

It's good of you to admit that Fox "News" is biased.

I didn't mention "brainwashing" at all in my post. Are you certain your thoughts are in order? I suspect they are not.

BTW, my YA handle is "marianddoc", not "mariaddoc" OK?

How are they "cleaning the clock"? Most news media I see don't portray the military as negative. They may not approve of our mission in Iraq but that merely reflects the feelings of a majority of Americans. When talking about going after Bin Laden in Afghanistan/Pakinstan the media is much more complimentary as are the American people and, for that matter, the people of the world.

If one looks only at one news source it is easy to see how he can come to certain conclusions about how great one sources is over another. If his own attitude is similar to the slant of that source his opinion of the source is amplified. It all makes sense. To get a clear and truthful view of world events one must consult several different sources with different slants. Even the founding fathers knew and did that. So it is nothing new for America. Try it.

I'm upset because other news organizations refuse to spend the money necessary to compete with Fox.

Did Eyota come up with all that information all by herself? Because I never got the chance to answer her poll. Wait... libs only poll a minority group and claim it applies to the nation... silly me. I wonder why Bill Clinton was in the Hamptons this past week leading the charge for the "Fairness Doctrine" and specifically stated that it was to target Fox news and Talk Radio... scared much?

Why would I watch the Republican channel on Fox? Rating are fickle, Jerry Springer also had huge ratings.

actually the real scare now is the Wall St. Journal, even conservatives are worried about uncle Rupert now.

Oh my, you have thrown raw meat to the lions! The Libs can't stand what they can't control. The recent conference of leftie bloggers refused to allow a military man to speak, He, evidently, couldn't be controlled. I recommend enjoying how flustered and angry the Libs become when their rhetoric is unable to withstand questioning. Mindless twits!

Just because they get good ratings does not make it a reliable source for news.

Fox is the only network that defended it's right to falsify "news" in court.
