The only ones with the authority to fire Selig are the owners. And, considering that he has led baseball to record revenues are given owners more money than they've ever dreamed of with which to line their pockets, why would they fire him?

He might not be a great commish for the fans, but he's doing his job for the owners, and that's what matters.

from a fans view point, most of what you say is right on. however, seligs bosses are the owners and they are quite happy with the job fellow owner selig has done. revenues are up. nice TV deal and selig takes all the heat. BUT best of all, the commish is one of them which means he has their interests in mind and not baseballs.

Bud Selig has the full support of all the owners of MLB & they will never fire him unless he does something stupid then they will reevaluate his situation as commissoner. I'll cheer to the day when Selig either resigns or is fired from his job.

I agree with you completely. He is a treacherous waste of money. Given he has brought in enough for the league, but still... this steroids should have been stopped before it even started, but he was too dumb to do anything about it because all he was concerned with was baseball keeping it's viewers.
