Yesterdady Barry bond got as first in home run list of all time with 756, probably will get to 800 with two more seasons. Hank Aaron 2dn with 755, Babe Ruth 714* But Alex is projected to get there soon. And Pujols has been the fastest to hit the number of hume runs he has in less years.

Will Latinos and Blacks rule?

The asterisk to 714* of Babe Ruth was because his home runs were affirmative action home runs.
He did not face any black of Latino players, which made it easier for him.

Oh, great - another thread trying to push the race issue. We haven't had enough of these over the past few days.

In response to your first question, yes, if you think that Pujols , Bonds and Aaron are going to be 1, 2 and 3, then yes, I guess you could make your statement. And if A-Rod is in the mix, it would be even more accurate. But keep in mind also that, while Ruth did not face Black pitchers, anyone who has played ball after expansion has faced some pitchers that would not be even close to the majors if there were only 8 teams in each league.
To call Ruth's home runs "affirmative action" home runs is a complete misuse of the term. How can you possible say something was the result of affirmative action when it was done at a time when the leagues were segregated?
I would suggest that before you go about blindly deciding that certain numbers should have asterisks beside them, that you become more educated about the history of the game, not just the records of it. The record books are only a small part of the history of the game, and any intelligent baseball fan can put them into their proper perspective without being reminded of who played the game at any given time. The biggest stain in baseball's history is, in my opinion, the fact that it took until 1947 to integrate it.I think it's a shame that 60 years later, we still try to turn every ballplayer into a White, Black or Latino player, instead of simply celebrating them as good ballplayers.

I really am not looking at the race issue with this the man broke a record and should be congratulated for it.

That being said there is a young man in Japan that holds the most professional homeruns ever and after I watched the world championship of Baseball I am not convinced that MLB is the most talented group of players. I may lean towards saying the japanese player is the best power hitter ever!

Can't you just enjoy the game without bringing race into anything. True sports fans can't enjoy anything without you idiots talking about race whenever you get a chance.

Hey, if you add asisn people, 'white' people and any other group, you can just call them HUMANS and you will find it unnecessary to put them into sub-classes.
