It was a nice win last night. But I think the best part is when Clemons nail that guy between the numbers in retaliation to Arod getting beaned. That is old school and shows the Yankees are playing as a team. Can you imagine anyone having Arod's back last year? They will be tough down the stretch.

Come one. Yankees are a expensive thing with cheap chances to win once again a world series. After what Boston Red Sox did to them in 2004, a comeback after being 3-0, now that is embarrassing. No white Bambino curse is on the Yankees. See you winning again in the year 2096.

Its funny how people say "get back to us when you play real teams" ...didnt KC take 2 of 3 from boston and detroit?? they sure did, and everyone gets their chances at the weak teams, and the yanks are taking care of business
and going into the break, the yanks took 2 of 3 from anaheim, and 2 of 3 from min, so they dont have a problem with the "good" teams

Reading some of these responses makes me wonder why so many people can't stand yankee fans, when they suck the fans are no where to be seen then when they beat a couple of mediocre teams they all come crawling out....

Are you crazy? Either you are not really a dyed in the wool baseball fan or you are throwing caution to the wind by declaring not only a world series appearance but a title as well. I, as well as most baseball fans, am too superstitious to make such bold predictions out loud. I prefer to eat my chicken before each game and take it one-by-one like Boggs used to do.

Its so nice to see that once again, George Steinbrenner can buy another playoff spot. I'd just love to see him try to run an NFL team, where there are actually salary caps to balance things out so teams across the board actually have a chance.
