Melanie. I know WAY to many Jessicas and Emily is becoming more and more popular. Plus I love the way Melanie sounds its very romantic. (Plus I have a niece named Melanie and she's the only one in her grade level! )

Emily is a very sweet and pretty name. Jessica is very common and she may get the nickname "Jesse" which personally I don't like on a girl. Melanie is pretty, but.. she will also get "Mel" as a nickname. I think Emily is just so lovely

I am naming all of my children a name starting with J so for me it would be Jessica hands down and that is one of the names that i had considered I settled however of Jemica. meaning affectioantely little one. Hope this helps give you food for thought.

All of them are pretty plain names..
but I think I'll go with Melanie, just
because I know too many Emily's
and Jessica's :-P

I LOVE the name Emily. That is my mother's name, but it is also very pretty. It sounds so proper and elegant.
