As of now, there is no other definite superpower other than the US. Even at its economy's rapidly increasing rate, it will still take decades for People's Republic of China or even India to reach "superpower" status.

I would argue against the thesis in your question. While the United States may still be a superpower. It is no longer a growing superpower. It is stagnant or declining in military and economic strength. The US has yet to discover how to fight a conflict such as the one in Iraq, and it was seldom successful fighting in Vietnam. Our economy tends to grow weaker with the growing trade imbalance, outsourcing, decline in pure research.
The U.S. will remain a superpower for another generation, but the sun will set on America as it did on Britain.

USA is not a growing superpower anymore: it's deep in debt, and the growth of US economy is minimal.
China and Russia grow 8-10% a year.

well, actually.. there are several that are GROWING faster than the US.
China, India, Pakistan.. they are all growing fast.
The US is still number 1 though.. and as far as military power .. I'd probably still have to go with Britain as number 2.
It gets harder to say past that.
