I read it. I can't recall ever being disappointed by a Koontz book, and this was no exception. I didn't think that he'd be who he was in the end... I'm not sure if that's the ending I was hoping for, or if it's a little too predictable for Koontz, but I liked the way the characters developed, and the way they interacted. I always love his dialogues, although I think they’re best in the Odd Thomas books. Not his best, but certainly a good book, worthy of a read by anyone who enjoys a good, exciting story.
I really wish he'd finish the Frankenstein series. I read the first two, and have been waiting for the third installment for 2 years!

I ordered it last week to read on my flight tomorrow night. Now I'm crossing my fingers that it'll get here in time! All the latest books Koontz has put out have been sort of lukewarm for me. The Odd Thomas series and other books at that time (from about 1996 on) was not nearly as good as Watchers and Twilight Eyes and his other older stuff (most of my favorites were from the 80's) in my opinion. I've been waiting for another one of his books to strike a chord with me... hopefully it'll be this one!

Awesome book!! I don't think I've ever been disappointed with a Dean Koontz novel. My favs are Lightning and Watchers, though I really did love the Odd Thomas books. This one was great, it kept me guessing until the end!
