USA was once full of indigents...and then something called "progress" happened. Otherwise, we would still be sharpening crappy tools with stone, not accumulating wealth, and bitching for everyone else to help us with redonkulous and easily preventible diseases like AIDS. No more help for africa. They can figure it out on their own.

We aren't "lucky" in the USA. We made it happen. Africa can do the same. They need to stop whining and butt f'ing and struggle with their own problems until they can come up with a solution.

You shouldn't, they have been given more assistance than any country and still refuse too change their ways of life. If they want too live in the dark ages, we really have no right too intervene.

i'm glad this is just a silly class project and not really intended to accomplish anything. that continent has had one country or another in famine or war since i can remember and i'm 63. of course all the answers so far only are in the theoretical realm.to actually try to do anything there would involve more money and troops than we are willing to put up. you've heard all the complaining about iraq, well, africa would be a challenge 100 times greater.

Shame on you! I don't know why we happened to be so lucky in America but were are. Even are poor are better off then most in Africa. Our government takes care of the poor here, they pay them, feed them take care of all there children for free! and in Africa they have none of that. Thousands of children are orphaned in Africa everyday and there are other children taking care of children there, they are simply uneducated about aids. You need a reality check my friend, you have no idea what its like over there and how lucky you are to live in America. They are not savages and not all of Africa lives like that, the shows they show you on TV are the worst parts the whole country isn't like that. I recommend you read up on this discussion before you complain and make a jerk out of yourself!

What is needed is to get rid of the Fat Cats waiting at the landing strip to skim off the goods for themselves.
There have always been the weak and the strong.
There are the charismatic criminals ,ready to convince the the masses of there god like ability to rule.( Hitler- Saddam)
In history we can see evidence of the weaker masses getting tired of being s--- stomped on and banding together to make things change.
Who says that America doesn't still have 'cavemen' I see the evidence of their uninformed bit--ing every day.
When one country has becomes powerful, that country has a moral obligation to reach out and offer a hand up to someone less fortunate. , without asking them to be "worthy" first. Otherwise we slip back into being indent cavemen .

The white man killed or put on reservations the indigents of the USA - oh, and Australia, too.
There are too many to lock up or put away in Africa.
Your statement is a bit heartless.

After the US withdrew its troops from other countries and stopped supporting the ICTY (the injustice institution in the Hague) etc., then it will be time to think about that. Meanwhile, helping Africa means helping people in need-not evil causes.

Basically most Africans don't enjoy american imperialism because USA has benefitted by leeching off Africa to fuel its so called development (translate to warmongering for profit) and capitalist economy. Stick to your main concerns like what colour your *&%!#@$ i-pod is since these are things you can understand. AIDS was invented in USA and brought to Africa by your whoring countrymen, fool.

We should focus on Universal Health Care, and free college for Americans. After we help our own people, then maybe we can start to worry about other places.
