i dont think there is a certain age i mean lets face it teens will do it anyways if they want to when the adults are not around - it not the worse thing they could be doing

I cuss like a damn sailor and started when I was 9 or 10.
so I say, yeah cuss w/ur friends
However there is a time and a place for everything and you can't talk to everyone the same way.
It's very disrespectful in casual conversation to cuss at or around grown people - so this includes talking to ur friends on the phone in your parents house.

Most kids do around junior high, but I don't really think they should be allowed to do it. I wouldn't make a huge deal if I heard a 13 or 14 year old cussing, but I would still let them know I disapproved.

Teens are going to cuss with friends at any age .The question is when do you accept it,NEVER My children are in there 20s and i know they Swear but on the odd occasion they do it in front of me they automatically apologise it is a matter of respect.

I started when I was 9 or 10 I know I know! It is a bad habit! Most kids will though when they are with there friends or brothers or sisters just as long as they do not do it in front of there parents or elders like everyone else said it is disrespectful and i admit when i am really mad i might on accident do it in front of my parents but i apolgize and i take the punishment they want to give me for being disrespectful! There is not a set age most kids will!

I don't know...I'm 14 and I have never cussed, and I never want to. My friends know not to cuss around me because I don't like it. I make them use substitute cuss words when they're around me, and it has made them stop cussing for good =)

To be completely honest, I dont think teens should be allowed to cuss at all. All it is is trying to appear badass, and its stupid. I mean. When i cuss, i get slapped. Its not appropriate.

I started when I was in the 5th grade.So I was eleven.That was when I started going to the skating rink on friday nights.Now 2 years later I still cuss and still go to the skating rink on friday nights and I have my own pair of skates.My parents don't know that I cuss but I think it's better if they don't.

i all ways cuss with my friends but we knew it was disrespectful to cuss infront of our parents even if we were talking to each other we would curb our speech. I am in my twenties now and i still don't cuss in front of my parents it is just not right

Believe me they're gonna cuss anyway. Most people I knew in middle school cussed eventhough their parents didn't let them. There's no point in making a rule that's not gonna be followed anyway.
