Just speak out about it. I know we used to say "code blue" in school when guys were around and other girls would know what it meant (I am sure the guys did too because I saw a few red faces in the crowd after code blue was said), but when girls were alone, they talked candidly about it.

Uh....I say I'm on my period. Sometimes my mother in law will say "Holy hell I'm bleeding like a stuck pig" She's very open lol. Why are girls today embarrassed about their periods?

The girls and me at work cycle at the same time. We sometimes refer to it as "Aunt Flo". We work around kids and try to keep things quiet. I keep a supply of necessities in my closet. If some one needs something I ask "interior?" (tampons) or "exterior?" (pads). Every one is easily able to go with the flo.

I usually say "I'm on" if it's to my boyfriend or family then they know what I mean straight away.

Some people call it "Time of the Month"
