Twenty20 WC India Team?

Question

Twenty20 squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Ajit Agarkar, Dinesh Karthik, Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Joginder Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh, Rohit Sharma
I'm not too happy with BCCI team we might have same situvation like last 1day WC (sorry to say) Why?
Captain should be Yuvraj - more experiance.
Dhooni - VC - learning process for future Captain dont want to give stress focus on bat & bat only. he is fire.
Sehwag - Did not prove him self he is ready - Saurav can be nice replace nice all rounder.
Gambhir-When did he play as 20-20 game.
Dont have more space to right otherwise i can keep going..

I dont want to see we are end-up same as one days WC not matter what we do. We have the player who can take any one (kind of) down only think we have to do just prove it.

Some one should ask Kapil Dev & Sandip Patil what they think for 20-20 team. cant wait to hear their view about seletion.

Yuvraj Singh is still not a regular member in the test side,he still sits in the benches or is the 12th man,Dhoni is regular in both ODI's and test match's.BCCI wants to groom a captain after Rahul Dravid and since Shewag his out of team,it was natural for Dhoni to be appointed captain.Remember he his already the vice captain of the side.

If Shewag has to make a comeback to the side,he has to play matches at international level,20-20 will be a good platform ,30-40 quick runs from his bat will do the job.Also he is a offspiner,he can bowl 3-4 overs.20-20 is for youngsters,so Sourab rightly pulled out of selection.

India has played only one 20-20 international match so far,so its not surprising that Gambhir hasn't played any 20-20 match,

Kapil dev and sandeep patil have justified the team selection for 20-20 in the TV news channels expert reviews(aaj tak and star news)

The only names missing in the 20-20 squad are of Dinesh Mongia and Murali Karthik,both have played 20-20 matches in English county cricket,they are the most experienced in the format of cricket.

I too feel that Yuvaraj Singh should have been made as the Captain as he is more experienced than Dhoni. But the problem with Yuvaraj Singh is that he is a temperamental person and that may be the main reason why he was not considered for Vice Captain for ODI Team. Having appointed as Vice Captain for ODI Team, the automatic choice for captaincy for Twenty/20 World Cup was Dhoni.

I do not think there is anything wrong with the team selected.
If the selected players play to their potential, India can defenitely put up better performance in the tournament.

I dont agree with u in some parts of ur question coz Dhoni will be a good captain and this will help as he can encourage palyers from behind the wicket.however Yuvraj is more experienced but the reason BCCI has given for not selecting Yuvraj as the captain is becoz they say he is a little short tempered.only thats why they selected dhoni however Yuvraj remains Vice Captain.however of u talking to take Ganguly in the team is right but he refused to be in the team himself including Sachin and Dravid tahts why BCCI had no ortion but to select youngsters.Ihope this answer is good enough so plezzzzz vote as best answer!!!!!!!!!

i think the team has been selected with the view to get the youngsters a go at the 20-20 format which is fast catching up with an odi format.

but somw players like gambhir, piyush. etc. are bachas and must not be given so much responsibility. they are going to suffer for sure.

I think Zaheer Khan should have been in the Team . He is better than SreeSanth for the Twenty-20 format .Others are fine

I feel this is the best that India can offer since all are quick scorers.I hope Yuvraj singh does not feel disappointed.
If they are able to play their natural game they will surprise many.Will they?

i also not fully agree with u but i accept some of your words ,, They captain to dhooni In this he will not able to do all the work like a Wicket Keeper , Batsmen and same time Captain means totaly collabse , istead of dhoni we give cap to YUvaraj ,,, Ganguly and senior players give chance to youngster so that only they did not select ganguly ,,, sehwag is all ways ready only ,, deff he will prove the tallent in this cup ,, sehwag is greater hitter no one can fergot her shot ... instead of gambir we select any new face ,,, its some thing better ...

i m not fully agree with u. dhooni is the beast choice we can have in this team. other option it can be Sourav if he was in team as captain. Yes here i m agree with you saurav should be in this team see us striking rate since he came back wow.

Unfortunately you are not a selector. Even if you are one, you may not get your idea accepted by other selectors. Everyone's wish can not be fulfilled by the selection committee.
