Yes in fact I am presently going through exactly the same thing you are, been over a month and am still waiting. I pressed them on the issue, and they offered me a $50 credit towards future purchase. You can try to get that, or if that is not satisfactory, you can contact the Better Business Bureau as I did and attempt to get a more adequate compensation for the delay. Don't bother too much talking to a manager, I went all the way up to the corporate office and still the best I got was the $50 offer. But do stay on them, and get them to expedite your order. They will attempt to playcate you and tell you to wait a few more days, as I am sure you already know, but you need to press hard to get them to get your order moving. Good luck, and lets hope we get our laptops soon.

My computers that were purchased through Dell all arrived within days -- laptop and desk versions. If they are having shipping delays there may be a manufacturing problem that they are working out. Or maybe one of their vendors is on back order and they are waiting for the parts to build your laptop. I've never had any problems before arrival. My problems start a year after the computer gets here when the hard drive crashes and has to be replaced. Two out of 4 Dell computers so far have had this same problem. Maybe they're replacing the faulty hard drives before yours ships...

Dell does not make good computers, and that's why I was recommending Toshiba laptops throughout Yahoo Answers, and I do that for a reason. That is because I know they're reliable. I am using one right now. I love it, and if everyone had a Toshiba laptop, the Laptops & Notebooks section wouldn't have 1 question in it for a long time. That's because Toshiba laptops don't have any problems. If you don't want to deal with Dell's problems, you should get a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. Right now, you can get one from Pricemad for only $1,125.

Ive made several orders from Dell.
1. My Desktop
I order this over the phone and took 6 days to arrive
2. My laptop (bought 2 months ago)
I ordered this online and took 5 days to arrive.
3. Toners and speakers.
Toners have always arrived promptly. Although when i ordered some speakers i waited 2 weeks and nothing arrived so I called Dell so they reordered me some new ones and they arrived really quick. You should phone them up.
Good luck

I got mine in 3 days. But I've heard that Dell issued an apology for late deliveries of the new XPS 1330. They didn't expect the demand to be as huge, some parts were not as easy to obtain, ect. I think the apology is on their blog. See below.
But Dell makes excellent computers. Heck, most of the industry (even apple) gets their parts from the same companies.
The top article explains everything.

Same as StingRay. I've ordered two on separate occasions and they arrived within 4-5 days of ordering.

Nope, I never have had a 33 day wait. I'd call (not e-mail) and raise some heck.

HECK NO! Dell is THE BEST at customer service. call them, and tell them it is 23 days late, and if they won't do anything, speak to someone else, maybe even the manager.
