Yes, with the proper time frame and realistic expectations
4 years National Championship
He has already put together half his recruiting class with 15 commits

11 of those are widely consider top 20 in the state

One Five Star (Tyler Love, OL) has committed

Julio Jones (5star, #2 in the nation, rivals.com) is soon to follow

Three top 100 (rivals.com) have commited

Auburn has only had a couple of three star commits

Alabama 9 four stars or better

And Bama Nation has done for recruiting that one fateful day,
April 21, 2007 92,138 A-Day, then Saban's entire staff

Say what you want about bama fans there ins't a recruit in the country that wouldn't want to practice in front of a capacity crowd

Yes he will. Alabama has great fans and tradition and has needed a top tier coach. Now that has been accomplished and building has began. Talent is already there, but depth is needed. He will build that over the next few years and for this season I expect much improvement over last year. Bama was close in every loss last year and by the fourth quarter the team was tired. I'm a big fan and hope to see some close wins in big games this year. I'm realistic and don't think Bama will contend for the SEC this year, but with few injuries during the season it is possible. Excitement is back on the Capstone.

Saban will do a fine job at Bama. Like Spurrier college football is what he is good at. He also had a good recruiting class which he always did at LSU. Now that Bama is off NCAA probation and with two more recruiting years Bama will be back in the Top 10.

He will. But just remember Rome wasn't built in a day. I think Alabama has a lot of talent but just needed the confidence in themselves. I think Nick Saban can bring this to them.

Eventually he'll do fine.......but don't expect a title for many, many years. The talent has dropped off. And Nick Saban is not that great.

They will get destroyed by FSU in Jacksonville.

No, he won't. Look what he did in Miami. Saban blows! This is the guy who yelled at his assistant because he bought the wrong Little Debbie snack cakes.

If he could revive Michigan State from the ashes, I have no doubt he will do the same thing at Alabama.

saban isn't the key here... will he be able to recruit players, and that answer is, not enough of the good ones.

I believe the standard for a good job at Bama is a natl. championship the first year, so I say NO!
