There are many countries where prostitution is regulated. If it is practiced outside the regulations, it is still a crime. Singapore in Indonesia is a good example along with the Netherlands, Amsterdam. Germany has had regulated prostitutes for many years.
What is wrong with this profession is it tears apart the fabric of society by undermining the family unit. Sex is intended to stay within the bonds of matrimony and be the seal of approval for the family unit. When desert is served on the side without the benefit of the rest of the meal, then the meal loses its importance.
