I emailed a friend because i heard they got married. Congratulated them and wished them happiness. But the email i got back was strange. He mentioned he got married two months ago and he is just hanging in there. But that he may be a father next year. and he was happy about having another baby. Why would someone be happy about a baby but not be excitied about his marriage and just say he is hanging in there? No one even asked him how his marriage was going. strange

Not sure about that one, i think his intentions are different then hers.Its hard to know what hes thinking.Remember there is two sides to every story.

Sounds like your friend may be having some issues already in his marriage. The pregnancy was probably unexpected and has made things worse for their marriage. He may be thinking the baby may make things better or that is the only good thing he has to look forward to. I think you should just straight up ask him what he meant by that answer.

He sounds like he may be stressed out, getting married and having another kid all at the same time is very stressful. Maybe they just had an agruement before he emailed you back who knows.
