Not really, however I do think it is a waste of Taxpayer money to issue a national I.D. card. The system we have in place today works fine, the feds just need to get their act together.

That idea has been knocking around for years. Hasn't happened yet, won't happen. too many Congressmen and Senators have constituents who won't accept such a measure. Big Brother does enough looking over shoulders for a "national ID card" to be acceptable.

Why would you feel your freedom was hijacked when a new ID card becomes available? Did people feel this way about driver's licenses or passports?

well the difference with this is the information that is on it and the RFID chip that can track you...

which freedom is that? the freedom to commit identity theft? the freedom to lie to the police after i'm stopped for speeding in a stolen car? the freedom to take a job away from some inner city kid who won't work for less than $8 an hour plus benefits?
