The reason why many critics believe A-rod will bring that record down because of how consistent A-rod has been in his career. He hits at least 35 home runs every year which is you do the math in the next ten years will be past 756 home runs. So, pending injury, A-rod will be the home run king. Barry will only hold it for a portion of the decade.

BARRY BONDS IS THE BEST PLAYER IN MLB! Give him his due, folks. Will A-Rod break it? If he remains healthy and focused, definitely. Years ago people were hating on Bonds and saying Junior would be the King. Not the case now, is it? Why waste your time projecting what may be and allow the record to be cherished right now.

No one knows how many Bonds will finish with and if A-Rod will stay healthy for the next 7 to 9 years. If Bonds plays next year he could finish his career with close to 800 homeruns and A-Rod would have to average 40 homeruns a year for the next 7 plus years to get there. Not an impossible task for A-Rod if everything goes just right for him.

I will be praying that anyone, AROD or Pujols or anybody, will break it so that the record can generate the respect and awe that it used to before Barry was a ******* queer and took steroids lika a little *****.

YES!!! In five or six years the record will fall again to A-Rod. He is jsut hitting the prime of his career and has better numbers than most people do at the end of their career!

How soon everyone is forgetting Albert Pujols. He'll break Bonds and A-Rods records.

Didn't you hear A-Rod is also being accused of doing roids! Only thing is people like him more so they won't look at like they do with Bonds.
