Because a teacher has the ability to see special things in a student that a computer will never be able to do. A good teacher will understand their students, and accommodate to make sure the learning outcomes are as good as possible; a computer can only do what it has been programmed to do.
Computers have a hard time replacing people on tasks where creativity and ability to assess complex situations (like people) are key. A good teacher will never be able to be replaced by a computer. One that only recites the lesson will, but they shouldn't be teaching anyway.

Good teachers are better than computers. The human element plus intuition make teachers better than computers. Teaching is both an art and a science.

Teachers:
* can overlook your flaws and hope for the best
* can personalize your learning experience.
* can stay after class to help you.
* have a pulse
* are essentially you in twenty years
* can surprise you
* take days off
* understand
* can deal with dialects, idiosynchrosies and odd behaviors.
* care
* give first aid
* can call 911
* can give CPR
* give you a hand
* applaud your success
* there's too many ways teachers are better to list here.
Computers:
* are just stored information
* have programs that are simply pathways to slender bits of data
* have program that are simply built on IF/THEN statements that route you to specific bits of information
* merely give you canned or pre-recorded information
* are redundant. IN other words, if you choose the same path through the program fifty times, you will always get the same answer, unless they have a program statement that randomizes the reported data
* Computers are great in helping student with the lowest challenges, like boring repetitive drills or typing
Thanks to silly people, computers have become the subjects of mythic lore. They can't do so many things, but still people laud their magical powers.

Some aren't. As a teacher I saw many colleagues who truly loved what they were doing and actually cared about the lives of their students. On the flip side, I saw drones who should have never been allowed to be exposed to living beings. Computers on the other hand are just what you make them. They can't care, cry or try to make your life better. A good teacher will.

Because a good teacher cares about you. Give and take, conversation, questioning. Those are things that really make you think and learn, and a computer doesn't do that.

Teachers are better than computers without any doubt.
we can easily ask him/her what are we ACTUALLY trying to ask.
They give the answer in a much satisfactory way and use to clear the doubts that too in a much satisfactory pattern .
They also often/always use to clear the doubts related ro that topics
Actrually the matter is much/all of the teaqcher actually knows face reading.

Hi! Computers are wonderful and I consider myself a "techie". However, I am new to teaching. Personally, I want to see, talk, and interact with a live, human being. I don't mind voicemail and e-mail, etc. But, I still prefer communicating face-to-face with individuals. It's just faster for me. Best wishes!
