The new Presidential Coins will indeed have, "In God We Trust" on them.

Maybe the picture you saw was photoshopped?

Could you photoshop ME onto a picture of a new coin? It could say, "In Durga We Trust - but we never take her checks."

I would go to your local bank because they usually take all forms of US currency and exchange it for cash. I wouldn't try a Coinstar machine because the machine might not recognize them as dollar coins but as other coins, like quarters. Also, if they are rare enough, you could take them to a coin collector, and see what they could offer you....good luck!

They actually moved in God we trust to the edge of the coin - barely visible - in an attempt to try to eliminate it without eliminating it.
I won't take them for two reasons - first, I believe that our great nation will feel God's wrath if we turn our backs on Him, second, I hate carrying change around in my pockets. Even if the coins continued to prominently display In God We Trust, I still wouldn't use them.

Except? No!

Accept? Yes

After all, according to right wing Christian fundamentalists, it was God that was responsible for allowing GW Bush to gain the presidency.

How can we ever trust Him again?

That's old news.... and except for a minor minting error that was quickly corrected, UNTRUE:

But I rarely use cash anyways... I use a credit card for everything, pay it off each month, and take free travel or free reward money. :)
