BIOS usually automatically disables on board graphics once you plug in a discrete card on the graphics port. BIOS also stops sharing system RAM with the disabled graphics card.

HP's sometimes will automatically disable the onboard card when you put another video card in..
but otherwise, you go into the BIOS.. there might be a video option.. and all the options you need for disabling the onboard should be in there.. they could also be in the 'advanced' section.. all depends on how the BIOS is constructed

pass into laptop administration (actual click the My laptop icon and choose take care of or pass to Administrative equipment->laptop administration...the two will artwork) and then pass to gadget supervisor. choose gadget supervisor and improve the reveal adapters. In there, you will see your on board photograph gadget. you may then pass into the properties for that and disable the gadget. whilst you're installation the AGP version of the ATI Radeon 7000, the on board video could be disabled quickly if I keep in mind properly.

Hi!
Press Del (or maybe F1, F10) or the appropriate key to enter System Setup (BIOS).
There, if you look carefully, you'll find the On-Board VGA.
Voila!
Good luck!

This can be done from the BIOS. Step by Step is not possible as the BIOS screen options are different PCs.
