There are effectively 2 factors to this question. 2 forms of instantaneous connectivity are attainable. a million. you have got a cable/dsl connection on your place and then hook up a instantaneous Router to this so as which you do not would desire to run cables around your place. in this technique the Telco company can recommend whether cable/dsl is attainable on your sources; there are barriers with admire to distance from the closest Telco change. 2. on the different hand you may purchase a definite modem and hook as much as a instantaneous broadband connection despite the fact that this provider does have extra severe regulations on availability. The link under reflects instantaneous assurance and has dissimilar hyperlinks to agencies which grant those centers in the Illinois section. i'm in Australia so i'm unsure what you will pay for a sort of modems yet i'm guessing around US$a hundred. Cheers

It depends on what city you live in...

In my opinion, AT&T offers the best and fastest wireless Internet... as long as you are in an area served by 3G. Sprint wireless is also pretty good, as long as you are in an area with their fastest service (I forget what it's called)

AT&T has the most 3G (or equivalent) coverage.

Sony offers several laptops with built-in wireless WAN support... but make sure if you buy any laptop with built-in wireless WAN support, make sure that it supports 3G. In any case, if you buy a laptop without the WAN support built-in, you still could always get a PCMCIA card from your cell phone provider... stick the card in the side and you are all set.

Your first step is to go to www.cingular.com and www.sprint.com and look at the coverage for Wireless Internet in your area, or cities you travel to.
