I have got to wait till november to see season 6 , so if anybody else hasn't seen it then i'd advise you not to carry on with this question as i don't want to spoil it for anybody.
I would just to hear peoples views on it as i find it very addictive

I absolutely love, love, love 24!!! It is the best show ever. Yes, it is very, very, very addicting. I started watching in season 5 and fell in love with Jack Bauer and 24. I have since bought all of the seasons that are out. I have watched all but the last 3 episodes of season 4, which will be remedied within the week. 24 is just awesome, and I loved last season - I felt like everyone that didn't like it did not put it into context - but since you haven't seen it, I won't go into detail. But the concept of 24 - the real time aspect, the constant threat of terrorism and the action, drama, and torture are just great. Just in case you haven't figured it out, I LOVE 24!!!!!!! JACK BAUER ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about the best ever (some would claim "House" is) but I really like it. Despite all the violence, my wife and almost all the women where she works like it too. I will say it has some of the best women characters ever on television, both the good ones and the evil ones. Chloe of course is in a class by herself.
Can't wait for the next day to begin.

I thought the 2005 season one was fantastic(season before last)! It's great to watch it on DVD since there are no commercials and you can watch 4 "Hours" at a time - which is really 3 hours without commercials!

24 is great! The fact that it's shown with no repeats or weeks off really helps keep the story moving along. I do have to say, however, that last season wasn't my favorite.

It got better every year until this last season. I never missed an episode until about the middle of last year.
I know it isn't really supposed to be 'real', but the inconsistencies in the past season were way to extreme to ignore and it frustrated me to no ends!
