I dont know what causes it. I tried a system restore, anti-virus, anti spyware scan, and still dont do the job.
What happens is that every now and then, windows would automatically turn off. A blue page with white words would immediately come out saying: "Windows has encountered a serious and needs to shut down........... deleting physical memory......." (there were a lot of words and it was too fast to memorize what was there). After that, my laptop would automatically restart and says "windows has just recovered from a serious error".
There is also no pattern to this. No specific program seems to trigger it and sometimes it happens immediately after restarting.
Help. And thanks in advance.

Since you've already scanned for viruses, etc., the next step is to try a system repair - not restore. A system repair will keep your other programs intact. If that doesn't work, then the next step is to reinstall windows. In this case, you should back up the files you want to keep. Good luck!

This is what is commonly known as 'Blue Screen of Death'!!
The cause could be anything from corrupt dll to corrupt drivers.. or even a hardware issue.
Try googling this for more info..
As for resolving this, the easiest way would be to reinstall the windows and softwares in your machine. Take a backup of data you need before you do this. and Good Luck!!!

its called the "blue screen of death" its a common windows problem, its tough to say what caused it since I don't have the computer in front of me. Your best bet if your able to is back up stuff you need on a disk and format the computer, esp. if you can't find what triggers it (usually a program). Good Luck

If you have installed a new software, boot in safe mode and remove it. If not it may be a hardware error such as a hard disk one. I may suggest to rebuild the machine from scratch by reformatting it once again, this may help do the job....

do a clean reinstall or try the recovery install.....there is probably an error in either the system32 folder or one of your services/programs is causing the crash......rather than spend alot of time trying to figure out the specifics of what and where is causing the eror, just do a reinstall of the OS.
