Northern Michigan. May I suggest staying at the bed and breakfast at Whitefish Point Light House? Snow,Lake Superior,snowmobiling,x-country skiing,,and of course the pasties.

I would love to see Xmas in New York..
I live in Sydney Australia,and its very hot here @ Xmas ,if you stay for new years eve its great though nothing beats going to Sydney Harbour and seeing the fire works..
