Mostly with Today's Eyes...things change so much that the old haunts start to look like new places.

I have the same emotional response in the first instance of the memory, and my todays experience and knowledge to explain to myself the reasons for the feelings. It may not change the memory, but helps ease the sting of the negative ones.

Time doesn't stand still...though everything around me seems to dissolve in front of my brutal, painful memories. I will never return to New York State...I may visit friends....but never ever will I live there again. It is my hell on earth.
