What time of year do you plant daylilies if you live in New England, USA? Because I work a lot I am looking to redo my garden areas with plants that take little fussing. I love the yellows of the Day Lillies and was thinking going with these or some similar lillies (do they have any varieties that actually flower in Blue?)

Daylillies are really tough. Since it is almost fall anyway I would wait until mid late September. I live in New England area too. It will give the roots some time to establish before the snow comes. Daylillies have a HUGE range of colors and times, unfortunately I don't think blue is a variation. The have catalogs that sell just daylillies. Type it in your search engine and see what you get. You will be amazed. I get a Oakes daylilly catalog and the price range is insane. Also, daylillies spread. so they need dividing every few years, so don't go to crazy unless you have a neighbor or friends to give divisions too. good luck.

I have "Indian Giver", which is pretty close to blue and "Prairie Blue Eyes'' which is also very close... they're both a variation of purple, really, but look blue next to the gold and orange ones!!....

google for 'blue daylily'... you'll get a few!!...
