And if they are arrested for this crime, how do you think it will affect people, I mean everyone has given them so much support, donations etc, (well in the beginning anyway) I'm not saying they may have murdered their daughter but I think they have more to do with it or are not giving over all the info, they even got to meet the pope!! will it jepodise future missing children cases, I hope not but I think a lot of people will be devestated, if what we are all thinking finally comes out.

i think people will feel very let down and betrayed, angry and confused, but hopefully it will enlighten people as to the most likely cause of child death, that from the hands of friends and family. It may help to dispell this myth that there are a leigon of dirty old men in macs ready to pounce and snatch children. although we know that there are paedophiles out there and it is a real problem, the majority of abuse and harm is done to children by friends and family.

I know I won't be surprised because the first day I heard this story I considered it a possibility that they could have been involved because statisticly at least hear in the US a missing child is a result of a family member or someone close to the family. I can only pray for the twins if in fact they are involved someway. This will affect them the rest of their life. If they are definately not wrong I still feel sorry for them because they will always live in the shadow of their missing sister and I think ignored more then they presently are.

The McCanns will have created a grave situation - the parents of every child who goes missing in the future will be suspected. Not that the McCanns care one jot though - all their actions since day 1 have been about saving their own skins. They truly care about no-one but themselves.

The whole situation is weird isn't it? And it's not the first time I've heard something like this said about the parents. I don't know what they were thinking leaving the children alone like that but sometimes people, including parents, can be stupid. Whatever has happened and whatever the motives behind it I just hope and pray that little girl is safe.

I think many will be devastated if they are involved. No one really would want to even imagine how a parent could harm their child.
I don't know what to think really except to say they are behaving too cool for parents that have a missing daughter. We may all have different coping strategies but come on we would have shown some emotion. They have shown none. I do believe Kate is sedated but Gerry is being just far too cool. Unusually so................................and kate seems to be under his control.

i think people will think twice about helping and donating in the future and any other child abduction in the future the parents wil be the prime suspects even if they are totally innocent which will make it harder for parents .
i also think we have to remember that being a parent is a total learning curve from day one. children dont come with handbooks and we try our best .even if we do make mistakes some bigger than others
