I'm afraid you will have to take immediate steps to look for somewhere else to live. Obviously you will have to receive the required notice to quit under the terms of your tenancy agreement, but there's nothing you can do about it. It could be that the recent interest rate rises have forced your landlord into the situation as the rent may no longer cover his outgoings. Good luck in finding somewhere suitable.

If you have a lease, you don't need to do a thing. Your lease remains in full force and effect until the expiration date. If your LL sells the home in the interim, you'll get a new LL, that's all.
If you don't have a lease, you may want to consider looking for a new place.
You do have the right to force the LL and real estate agents to stick to the 24 hour notice rule for showing the place to prospective buyers. If someone shows up unannounced to view the place -- even if they're with the LL -- send them packing.

Buy the house or move out. I don't think the new owners will want you living there!
You could find out if the buyers are intending to rent it out or not and if so, if they have anyone lined up for occupancy.

Talk to the CAB. It will depend on your housing status and length of stay, and whether you are a long or short - hold tenant.
Without further details I would be guessing how best to advise you further.

If it states in the contract you signed that he's allowed to sell, then not alot. Find somewhere else to rent.

If you have a written lease, the new owner has to abide by that lease until it terminates. Then you may have to move.
