Identify each polar equation and test for symmetry.

(1) r = 1 - 2sin(t)

(2) r = 2 + 4cos(t)

(1) sqrt(x^2+y^2) =1 -2 y/sqrt(x^2+y^2)
so x^2+y^2+2y= sqrt(x^2+y^2) (It´s a curve of fourth degree)
2) x^2+y^2 -4x= 2*sqrt(x^2+y^2)
If you change x into -x (1) does not change so it is symmetrical
on y axis
2) is symmetrical on x axis
