Look through the tabs to find out what exactly Norton is bothering you about. Often is will be that you have not done a full system scan in the last week. Other things can cause it such as your firewall, email scanning, or autoprotect might be turned off

I think Norton sucks and is a big rip off, you have to keep paying them yearly after you have allready bought there crap, and then you have problems like you have, then sometimes it will say can not delete virus or canot fix virus, I dont use any virus protection or spyware, adware, I make sure I save all picture files I want on a cd, and keep all software in a safe place to reinstall for later, when my computer stops working due to a virus, (norton will not help with malware by the way) or malware I just reinstall windows and reformat the hard drive delete every thing and start over, all that virus protection crap is not worth the headache when all you have to do is reinstall windows. If I was you I would take that norton crap back to the store and get my money back.

personally, i did not have a very good experience with norton. but since you already have it you might as well stick with it until it expires. but for now, download a non-norton free trial of antivirus/antispyware program from somewhere like www.trendmicro.com or www.download.com. however, the problem is that norton might not let you download any type of antivirus/antispyware programs while it's still on your system.

i hope this helped and good luck :]

It may be because you have deactivated either the virus protection, or the Firewall.
