It just randomly came to my head and I thought it be interesting.
I'd put my money on cats.

Cats would for sure. Dogs seem to be less inteligent. For example, throw a stick for a dog and it runs after it, a cat just looks at you as if to say " you threw it you go and get it"

And you wouldn't be wrong. Cats hands down. Cats are strategists, and this is very evident when they stalk prey.

And nothing compares with the fury of an enraged cat. I've seen an angry cat jump onto the back of a dog, sink its teeth into the back of the dog's neck, and with a free paw gouge out the dog's eye. All in a matter of seconds.

I gotta say cats. I should imagine that the cats would out number the dogs. Plus I had a ciamese cat before and it scared any dog that it came across. They are viscious fighters and go straight for the eyes.

Dogs probably wouldnt have very good strategic planning either.

Hi,
i would have to say cats aswell,
why?
because i have seen how vicious a cat can be when fighting with a dog, the dog come off a lot worse with lots of cuts, the cat did not have a mark on it.

It all depends on the breed of course, but if it wanted to the average houseodog could easialy kill the cat, and a racoon would do the same! (believe, me I know! a racoon riped a cats stomach open in my backyard!)
But if it was a wold against say a siberian tiger, then the (pack of!) wolf doesn't have a chance!

My money is also on the cat. I once had a cat that tore the heck out of a dog that was always chasing him. The dog stayed in it's own yard after that.

I would put it on the dogs. If you think about it when two strange cats meet they will fight everytime, when dogs meet they sniff butts and are friends. The internal fighting among the cats would be there own demise. Dogs can handle weather better and water also. When the platoon of cats is scratchin around to pee and poo the dogs would ambush them, those that ran up trees would starve as the dogs would only leave one guard on duty till it fell out of the tree. It only takes one dog to take down loads of cats but it takes loads of cats to bring down one dog. May as well pay up now dude Dogs rule, cats drool. lol

I, too, think cats would win.
They have the advantage of leaping/jumping to high places and the (possible) advantage of more intellegence.
Plus, if you want to get really 'random,' cats can communicate with each other more by meowing than dogs can with barking (kind of).
=D
