Its all very well and good people reporting 'sightings' but this woman has had a previous record of having sighted things such as house fires which have made the paper.
If she's an attention seeker then she should be prosecuted for wasting police time. Im sure Belgium has many other cases waiting on forensic evidence that doesnt need to be delayed with this needless testing of a glass.
I might sound harsh, but I hope they go after her, purely because this is not the first time she has cried wolf. Her trying to gain publicity on the back of a likely dead child is out and out disgusting.

Wendy AC - What was your last question? Oh yes 'Peter and Jordon - who likes their baby's name'
I'd be hurt if the comment wasnt made by someone with a paperthin personality such as yourself.
I think Heat magazine has just been released today, if you hurry you can get to the shops and see what Jodie Marsh was wearing!

Wee Ste - I'd love to put the links up but I had all the info on my last account which was deleted Im afraid. It was basically links to two .be pages which if you translated them explain how she has spotted a housefire before and appeared in the papers because of it. Maybe someone else can dig up the link somewhere. For now you will have to take my word for it. sorry :)

Clarabell-Thanks for showing how young and naive you must be for joining the many others who choose to attack me personally because they can't attack the material I present.

I read that she was "genuine source" as she was some kind of child psychologist!
Shouldn't the police have checked her background before releasing the details and bringing hope to the McCanns?
Shambles!

WHY WHY WHY????? Why is it when someone sees a child that is reported missing or think its the child they leave and call the police and just let it go. Why do these people not stay close to the child they think is the missing one. I know very few adults these days that do not carry a cell phone. Stay where you are call 911 and keep the child in site. If they leave then follow them for goodness sakes. Madeleine has that distinct eye that anyone could notice. If I were in a restaurant and thought I saw her I would figure out a way to get close enough to be sure and if she had that mark on her eye I would not let those people out of my site. What would the people have done if that woman started screaming look its Madeleine McCann. Of course you can't have every one who sees a blonde little girl do that but as I said she could have walked right up to that table looked in her eyes and see if there was a mark or not. If there were no mark then some stranger would think I was nuts for doing that. SO WHAT!!! How about approaching the waitress of that table and telling them what you think...would be less suspicious if the waitress approached the little girl to see the mark on her eye. I think people out there like to stir things up for attention and there are many sick minds out there who do things just to stir it up. Yes she should be investigated as well as anyone who gives a false sighting and they should be asked why didnt you get closer to be sure it was her before you called it in.

I think you're an attention seeker Dave S. You obviously get some kind of boost from posting your "out there" opinions on the McCann case and whipping up a debate. You must get some sort of an ego boost from the attention you receive hence your repeated postings every time there is something in the news and more often than not - even when there is nothing. I think that's disgusting if you ask me.
EDIT: Actually I was in the middle of writing an answer "attacking the material you present" but felt my first answer was more satisfying.
It would be interesting to prove how this woman wasn't genuinely convinced it wasn't Madeline she saw. In my opinion, investigating her would be a complete waste of police time and do nothing to help the case. If you remember throughout she has been referred to as a "credible source". Ok, so she's witnessed some other events in the past - it hardly makes her an attention seeker does it. If we are going to blame and investigate anyone in this case it should be Kate and Gerry but even that in my opinion would be a waste of time and resources until a conclusion is drawn and Madeline is found either dead or alive because until then, finding her one way or another should be the number one priority.

She should be investigated. All she is doing is throwing a spanner in the works and wasting police time.

surely it is wasting police time?
Difficult though - to prove I mean - even with her record, how can anyone ever know she wasn't convinced she had seen madeline.
They should give her a warning at least, put her off
I hope after all of this crying wolf she doesn't accidentally happen across something real one day!

Have to agree with you on this one. Raising a grieving family's hopes just to get attention for oneself is truly disgusting.

If there is reason to investigate her then I hope that it happens. Otherwise, why risk discouraging people from reporting if they think they see Madeleine?
Where does your information come from?
