Whats your take on it? With warrantless wiretapping and what not do you feel your freedoms are being taken away a little at a time?

and I would like to add that once your freedoms are gone, you will probably never get them back, even if they do say it is just for a bit to fight "terrorists"

It is going down the toilet fast.
Where are our freedoms? Everyone with power is stepping all over the "little people." It seems that the future is dark.

I think our government is going down a path that's both immoral and unwise. We have the ultimate "corporatists" occupying the White House. I believe they usurped power illegitimately - in other words, I believe that both of our past two elections were hijacked via voter intimidation, electioneering, and ballot tampering.

We have individuals running this country who are setting examples of greed, selfishness, deceit, and corruption for our children. These same individuals are widening the gap between those who have money and those who don't. I would almost go so far as to say that they are purposely creating a "slave society" where the very wealthy can and do get away with anything and everything, and the common person can do little or nothing about it.

Look at the way they are privatizing virtually every aspect of our government! Privatizing the military can't be a good idea. And why does Halliburton get every GD contract from New Orleans to Baghdad? Bush & Cheney run this government like they are organized crime lords. And it's obvious who the "brains" is - Bush failed at EVERY business he ever ran.

They are evil men perpetrating evil deeds upon the American people. Why are we letting them get away with it?

Every day I read where yet another radical right-wing Republican has either been indicted or arrested - and these are our elected and appointed legislators and officials!

Have you ever taken a close look at and listened to Alberto Gonzales? Like the chicken and the egg, it's hard to say who came first - George W. Bush or Alberto Gonzales! Next time you get a chance, just take a gander and lend an ear. The facial expressions, the snickering laugh, the way they speak - I don't know who imitated who, but someone is imitating the other one. Or taking lessons in how to pull the wool over someone else's eyes.

I also believe we were out and out lied to about Iraq. Bush and Cheney both had a personal agenda - making money. Period. And that's one of the main reasons why they won't let go. It's costing us 2 BILLION dollars EACH WEEK!!! We've created a civil war over there, our soldiers are getting maimed and killed to line the pockets of those who benefit monetarily - and that isn't the Iraqi people or the American people, I can tell you.

We are NOT safer now than we were before we invaded and occupied that sovereign nation. We are more at risk because we now have the whole world hating us. We are arrogant bullies, liars and thieves. And it's a crime. Bush and Cheney LIED to Congress, which is a crime. They should BOTH be impeached, along with Gonzales.

People are slowly waking up, and I hope it's not too late. We have alot of repair work to do.

I see our divided and hopelessly partisan government, esp. congress, leading our rapidly decaying nation down the slippery slope into bankruptcy, anarchy, and ultimately chaos.
Alas Babylon...for in one hour is her judgement come.
