Well, physical being physical, is actually worse as you could end up dying. BUT Verbal can and often does affect you mentally. THIS can be just as bad. This being I have to say they are both equal. And I must also say Abuse can be in the form of sex, as in sexual abuse. ALL ARE BAD. If someone is in an abusive relationship, get out of it and do it now.

Ive had both physical abuse heals in days, verbal abuse which I consider mental torture stays with you forever those scars never heal properly,I know some will say they are only words but its whats being said to you and about you if said over a long time you start to believe it,its a long way back from that ,and you cant see the scars...........

Verbal. Physical abuse is just the body, it will die out eventually and get better. But verbal abuse will be burnt into your brain forever, there's no escaping it and enough verbal abuse may lead to physical abuse

Verbal. Physical abuse will crosses over into the law. This can be stopped. Verbal abuse can cause some one to hurt them selves. Hurting your self isn't illegal.

Verbal, the wounds are likely not to heal. I've had the sh*t kicked out of me when i got into a fight, and i got babied by my friends and family, not to mention the girl who beat me got the sh*t kicked out of her by my friends. Physical pain is never too bad to handle, for me anyways (unless it's a tummy ache.. those are my weakness!!) But if someone is abused on a daily basis, and by someone they care about, then that is probably equivelent to being verbally abused. I guess you gotta look at the whole situation.

well they are both bad. but it depends who is doing it, i believe. if you are physically abused in a place where you ought to feel safe, such as your home, and by your parents, then i think physical is much worse than verbal. I mean you would rather that your parents tell you you suck and you'll never accomplish anything than that you are afraid constantly that you'll get beaten by them.
whereas, if its among peers, physical is not as bad as verbal. because its easier to learn to fight back physically than verbally, really it is. and people take physical abuse more seriously than verbal. if theres a fight going on - everyone rushes to stop it, if theres people arguing, no one pays attention and the abuse goes on and on

Verbal. Physical hurts more at the time, but verbal abuse stays with you for years.
People are saying that physical abuse can kill you, but verbal abuse drives people to suicide.

I would say they are both bad, the effect on the person
being hit or verbally abused is not accepted in our
society and if thats whats happening to you. The only
thing you can do is go to the aware shelter and watch
there video so that you can see how to help your self.
